Rules Tip: Metalcraft

As an ability word, metalcraft has no rules meaning. It simply highlights abilities that provide a bonus when you control three or more artifacts. Many metalcraft abilities grant size bonuses or additional abilities to creatures they appear on. Instants and sorceries with metalcraft abilities may have additional or upgraded effects.

Rules Tip: Imprint

Some artifacts on the metallic plane of Mirrodin can capture another card’s essence, of imprint that card onto itself. Another ability word, imprint has no hidden rules meaning. It simply appears on certain artifacts to call attention to an ability that exiles a card. Each of those artifacts has another ability that makes use of the exiled card in some way.
